The ChannelFunds FAQ

I maintain a spreadsheet with my partner fund amounts. How do I get those into your application?

The system has a funds import tool that allows you to upload an XLS document into the application. The system allows you to map fields within your existing spreadsheet to the expected fields of the app.

How can I assign different account managers to review funds requests for different partners?

The system administrator must give the account managers the co-op reimbursement permission, and also put the appropriate partners in each account manager's “scope”.

How do I "roll over" unused funds account balances from one time period to another?

Is there a way that I can be notified when I need to do something with this system?

FIXME also, anthony's marketing oriented FAQ says these can be turned off in user prefs, but i don't see how. (?)

What do my partners see when they log into the system?

Your partners have access to: their budget lines, their current and historical activities, the create-a-new-activity submission form, and an interface that allows them to change their password.

What is the pre-approval section for and when would it come into play?

Certain companies require that an activity be 'pre-approved' prior to the partner moving ahead with the MDF/Co-Op funded activity. The channelFUNDS application supports these types of rules by providing an optional pre-approval area within the activity form. This allows CAMs the ability to acknowledge their pre-approval, should they wish to do so. The system notes who and when a pre-approval was made. If your co-op program doesn't require this step, then you do not have to use this section.

I notice that when I mouse-over items they become highlighted in either blue or yellow. Does that signify anything?

Yes. In either case, the mouse-over highlight signifies that an item is clickable for editing and additional functionality purposes. Usually clicking on a yellow highlight will allow you to make an edit, while clicking on a blue highlight will open up an area for additional inputs.

I want to edit the text of the system generated notification emails. Is there a way to do that?

Yes. The funds setup screen FIXME where is this and what is it called? allows you to turn on and off (via checkbox) the notification emails, and if you click on View, will allow you to edit the text of the outgoing emails.

Who sees what in terms of scope?

Partners only see their own activities and budget lines; admins see the partners and budget lines with which they are associated. Please refer to channeladmin_faq for instructions on how to set scope. FIXME anthony's faq mentioned both CAMs (need scope) and admins (can see everyone). obsolete?

A new expenditure came up - but I already closed out the activity? What do I do?

No problem. The closed activities are still available and editable by admins. If needed, admins can re-open the activity for partner input.

On the partner interface, there is a 'campaign' header for their list of activities. Why is that?
